Manual Handling

This session is a theoretical refresher only!

Attendance at this session is mandatory for all staff who work or wish to work within the public health sector in Western Australia. The areas covered include an overview on manual handling devices and safety guidelines.

Basic Life Support

This interactive session provides instruction and update on CPR and basic life support skills according to the guidelines set by the Australian Resuscitation Council. This update is suitable for annual updates or those who have not attended a CPR refresher in recent years.

Manage Challenging Behaviours

Manage Challenging Behaviours gives participants an insight into certain forms of aggressive behaviours and practical ways of managing them. This session is designed to empower the healthcare professional to be able to deal with challenging behaviours they may face in the workplace.

Fire & Safety

Attendance at this session is mandatory for all staff who work or wish to work within the public health sector in Western Australia. Participants will be introduced to the Western Australian Department of Health Emergency procedures, including, Fire, Bomb Threat, Evacuation, Internal and External Emergencies.
